What to do in Pedreguer
Castillo del Ocaive
The remains of the Ocaive Castle date back to the Andalusian period, with a large rectangular cistern from the 12th and 13th centuries. At the highest point, you can still see the ruins of a medieval tower from the 13th–14th century.
The climb to the castle provides scenic views of the Marina Alta's stunning ladnscape and the Mediterranean sea.
Casa Municipal
Constructed in 1882, the Casa Municipal serves as Pedreguer's local library, music school, and an exhibition space that regularly hosts cultural events.
Fiestas
Saint Anthony
Saint Anthony is celebrated at on January the 17th with a procession from the plaza to the chapel of Saint Blaise.
At the chapel, animals are blessed, and visitors are offered blessed bread in honour of the saint.
Saint Blaise
At the beginning of February they honour Saint Blaise with music, parades and fireworks.
It is a tradition to light a candle in the hermitage to soothe sore throats.
Patronal Festivities
Pedreguer celebrates their patron, Saint Buenaventura, during the week of the 15th of July.

Jornadas de Ecoturismo
In November, Pedreguer hosts the Jornadas de Ecoturismo, featuring talks, school activities, and events that celebrate both the town’s natural surroundings and its cultural heritage.
Hiking
Sender de Pedreguer; PR-CV 53
The Sender de Pedreguer (PR-CV 53) is a circular hiking route that guides you through the region’s past, passing old farmhouses, cisterns, and the remains of old castles.
Currently FEMECV reports that some of the signage may be lacking; be sure to take the necessary precautions before setting out.
Intercultural Food Fair
On the final weekend of May Pedreguer hosts the Intercultural Food Fair, where you can try dishes from a variety of cultures.
They also organise concerts and competitions amongst other activities as part of the event.
El Jardín de l'Albarda
El Jardín de l'Albarda, managed by FUNDEM, is a beautiful botanical garden covering 50,000 square metres and home to over 700 species of native plants.
They offer guided tours and environmental workshops, making it an ideal visit for nature lovers.
L’hort de l’Alé
Located between Pedreguer and La Sella, L’hort de l’Alé is a country house originally built in 1830, now restored and part of the Ruta del Riuraus, a route that celebrates the Marina Alta’s history of raisin production.
The estate offers tours of both the house and surrounding groves, from which over 15,000 kg of mandarins were donated to charity since the project began.
Windmills
Dating back to 1850, the two windmills of Pedreguer are situated in the valley between the Sella and Pedreguer mountain. Restored in 2016, their interiors can be visited during occasional guided tours.
