Gata de Gorgos is known for it's artisan heritage, particularly weaving products with leaves from the European fan palm (Chamaerops humilis). Like many other villages in the area they have a history of cultivating raisins.

The town also has excellent transport connections, via bus and tram, to popular costa blanca destinations such as Alicante, Benidorm and Dénia; a journey with stunning views of various landmarks such as the Mascarat Canyon.

What to do in Gata de Gorgos

Art Al Vent

Art al Vent is an open-air exhibition that began in 2003.

Residents hang hand made textile art from their balconies, which has attracted artists from over 25 different countries.

Perviously held in August, in 2024 they moved the beginning of the exhibition to the last weekend of June, finishing on the 21st of July to take advantage of the longer days and the cooler part of summer.
