Dénia is a bustling port city with the longest coastline of the Marina Alta, of which it is also the capital. With origins tracing back to the Roman era before the first century BC, Dénia boasts a rich history, including a castle from the 10th century, and some of the finest beaches on the Costa Blanca.

What to do in Dénia

Dénia Castle

Found in the historic centre, Dénia castle offers great views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city.

The castle was built in the 10th century during the Islamic period and is now home to the archeological museum and hosts events throughout the year.

Inflatable Water Park

During the summer, off the shore of Les Marines beach there is an inflatable water park - an entertaining way to cool off in the summer.

Museums

Museum of Archeology

The Museum of Archeology is located within Dénia castle, displaying artefacts from the city's history, from the Iberian, Roman, Islamic and Christian past.

Museum of Ethnology

The Toy Museum

National American Cars Meeting

Since 2023 the Costa Blanca Mustang Owners have organised the American Cars Meeting in Dénia, each year, which they also use to raise money for Incliva.

Aficionados of the Mustang come from across the globe to have a good time participating in the motorcade, sharing their passion of American cars or playing a bit of cornhole.

Fiestas

Las Fallas

Every March, Dénia celebrates Las Fallas, celebrating the arrival of spring by burning old furniture. 11 neighbourhoods participate in constructing intricate monuments that are paraded and judged before being set alight on the final night.
