Nature Reserve of La Mata and Torrevieja
The Nature Reserve is famous for its two large saltwater lagoons, one of which has a striking pink colour and also serves as an important habitat for wildlife.
There are plenty of boardwalks, lookouts and and observatories where you can explore and relax the natural beauty of the park.
Museums
Sea & Salt Museum
The Sea & Salt Museum of Torrevieja is dedicated to the origins, customs and traditions of the town.
The collection contains a variety of ethnological and archaelogical pieces of Torrevieja's fishing and seafaring history as well as salt crafts and ship models.
Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum has an extensive collection of fossils, shells and specimens gathered over the years. Exhibits range from marine mammals and molluscs to local bird species and replica's of their eggs.
Print Museum
La Imprenta is a small museum dedicated to the history of printing, with vintage presses, tools and examples of traditional print work on display.
Floating Museums
At the port of Torrevieja you can find two floating museums: the S-61 Delfín submarine and the Albatros III patrol ship. Both are open to the public, offering a glimpse of daily life and working conditions aboard these vessels when they were in service.
