Hiking
The Route of 8 Towns
As the name suggests, this linear route will take you through the 8 towns that make up La Vall de Gallinera, connecting the spring near Benissili with the spring of Benirrama, both of which are called La Font de la Mata.
Castillo de Benirrama
The Castillo de Benirrama sits atop a rocky knoll, and while it is inaccessible, the natural beauty of the area and views of the valley make it a worthwhile trip.
Fiestas
The Alignment of the Foradada
Twice per year the sun aligns perfectly to shine through a hole at the peak of the Forardada to shine on the Franciscan convent in Benitaia.
Festa de Cirera
La Vall de Gallinera is known of its cherries; in the second week of June is the Festa de Cirera as the harvest ends, which includes a gastronmic route with dishes using the cherry and the international cherry pit spitting championship.
Patronal festivities
Throughout July and August the villages host various festivals in honour of their patron saints
- Benirrama hold their festival during the last full weekend of July
- Benissivá & Benitaia honour Saint Roc on the first weekend of August
- Benialí also celebrate the festival of Moors and Christians as well as their patron saints, Saint Miquel and La Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, in the second week of August
- Alpatró hold their festivities between the from the 15th to the 17th of August
- La Carroja celebrate their patronal festival during the third week of August, honouring Saint Francesc de Borja
- Benissili honourtheir patron, Saint Pasqual Bailón, in the last weekend of August

L'Atzubia Forna
Between La Vall de Gallinera and Pego is the municipality L'atzubia Forna, home to the Castell de Forna, a palatial castle with great views of the valley's natural beauty and the Mediterranean Sea.
Pego
Pego has a variety of places of cultural interest, including museums and galleries, as well as sharing a natural park with Oliva, known for it's marshes and biodiversity.
