What to do in El Campello
Illeta dels Banyets
The Illeta dels Banyets, taking its name from the Roman fish farms constructed there, is one of the oldest archeological sites in Alicante with remains from over 5,000 years ago.
There are a variety of artefacts and structures from various historical periods, including the Iberian, Roman and Islamic eras.
Hiking
Les Puntes de Gosàlvez
Les Puntes de Gosàlvez (SL-CV 93) is a scenic, mountainous trail exploring the natural beauty of the region, with stunning views of the Costa Blanca.
The route length and altitude gain vary slightly depending on the source:
- Distance: 5.7–6.1 km
- Altitude gain: Approximately 120 metres
The local government has created a guide, available in Valenciano and Castellano, to help hikers.
Before setting out, contact local hiking groups and follow all necessary safety precautions.
Fiestas
Romeria de Maria Auxiliadora
Held at the end of May, this festival honours La Virgen Maria Auxiliadora with a procession to Salesian Parish, a meal and mass. Later the image of La Virgen Maria Auxiliadora to the parish of Santa Teresa.
Fiestas de La Virgen del Carmen
Considered one of the most important festivals of the municipality honouring the patron saint of sailors, La Virgen del Carmen. Taking place in July, they celebrate with a wide range of activities including games, performances and a fireworks display.
Moros y Cristianos
In October, El Campello hosts its annual festival of Moros y Cristianos with a wide range of events including parades, concerts, historical reenactments, correfocs and a medieval market.

El Campello has a great variety of restaurants, many of which are popular with both locals and tourists. A couple of notable options include:
